24th July 2004 Windsurfing: Paggers Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4/5 Surf / Sea State: Smooth swells Air Temperature: 25+C Sea Temperature: Warm Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Got down to the beach just after midday. Lots of Toppers and other dinghies out with signs of a wind line out near the mulberry. After a bit rigged the 6.5 and blubbed out to the wind line. Planed back and forth out beyond the wind shadow. No one else out. Dave came out a bit later on a 5.8 by which time the wind had swung SW and I could plane right into the beach. Lots of nice swells as the tide came in. Very smooth at high tide. 6.5 was too big but I didn't change it and just used the extra power to go upwind of Dave every time we crossed paths! A really great session. And all a bonus as the forecast wasn't great until the last minute. Well above forecast. |
